Non-invasive Sensing and Characterization of Fluids

We developed the Acoustic Resonance Spectroscopy (ARS) and the Swept Frequency Acoustic Interferometry (SFAI) techniques to noninvasively identify chemicals accurately and in a matter of seconds. The SFAI technique allowed determination of multiple physical properties of any fluid from a single measurement with very high accuracy.

ACOUSTIC MANIPULATION

We use the force of sound to manipulate objects. This allows us to concentrate particles, separate materials (e.g., oil-water, blood plasma, pollutants, etc.), and also create unique 3D structures in a matter of seconds. We call these acoustically engineered materials (AEM) that can use almost any material with very few limitations.

ACOUSTIC IMAGING WITH UNIQUE LASER-LIKE BEAM

We have developed a unique and powerful imaging technique using low-frequency that is highly collimated. This allows deep penetration into highly attenuating media, such as rocks, concrete, and mud. This noninvasive technique can be utilized from imaging the human body and the human brain to drilling applications for near bore hole analysis.
